Where do I email or mail my LTC-100 or LTC-101 Certificate of Training?

Once you have completed an “in person” or online Texas LTC or CHL class, you will need to upload (online) or mail your LTC-100 or LTC-101 Certificate of Training to the Texas Department of Public Safety for your License to Carry application.

It is faster if you upload your Certificate of Training and any other required forms and documents that may be listed on your license application checklist directly to the DPS website through the Contact Us page. The scanned documents must be in a PDF (.pdf) file format. You can upload files using the Contact Us page at the following website address:

https://www.dps.texas.gov/rsd/contact/Contact?sProgram=LTC

You will need to complete the Contact Form information and Add Documents(s), click Choose File, find and select the file you want to upload (.pdf), click Open and then click Submit Form.

You can also mail the forms and documents to DPS. It is a good practice to make and keep copies of the forms you mail. The mailing address is:

Texas Department of Public Safety
Handgun Licensing Program, MSC 0245
PO Box 4087
Austin, TX 78773-0245

Please Note: You must start the online license application process before uploading or mailing your certificate and any other forms or documents to DPS. Most applicants only need to send their LTC-100 or LTC-101 Certificate of Training to DPS. Please check the application checklist at the end of the online application process or confirmation email to find out if any other forms or documents are required to complete your personal license application.
